# How to make it:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
03 - In a separate large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
04 - Stir the pumpkin puree into the wet mixture until fully blended.
05 - Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
06 - Fold in the walnuts or pecans if using.
07 - Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
08 - Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before applying frosting.
09 - Beat softened butter and cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
