A festive and edible holiday bowl made entirely from peppermint candies—perfect for serving treats or gifting goodies, with no baking required.

I created this candy bowl last December with my kids. We made it as a bright, cheerful gift holder for the holiday table, and it was such a conversation starter that everyone wanted to try their own version.

My family loved using these peppermint bowls as holders for homemade cookies at holiday gatherings. The kids especially enjoyed breaking the bowl to share sweet pieces with everyone once it was empty.

Recipe FAQs

What type of candies work best?

Use round peppermint hard candies, preferably unwrapped, to ensure smooth melting and easy shaping.

Can I use colored candies for variation?

Yes, mixing red and green peppermint candies or fruit-flavored hard candies adds decorative color.

How do I prevent the bowl from sticking to the mold?

Use a heatproof bowl and lightly grease it for easier removal after shaping the candy.

Is it safe to fill with moist items?

It's best to fill the bowl with dry treats, as moisture can soften and weaken the candy structure.

How long does the candy bowl last?

Store in a cool, dry place to avoid stickiness or melting; it keeps well for several days under proper conditions.
