Save to Pinterest A festive and edible holiday bowl made entirely from peppermint candies—perfect for serving treats or gifting goodies, with no baking required.
I created this candy bowl last December with my kids. We made it as a bright, cheerful gift holder for the holiday table, and it was such a conversation starter that everyone wanted to try their own version.
Ingredients
- Peppermint hard candies: 30–36 round, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Set your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Prepare Baking Sheet:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Arrange Candies:
- Create a tightly packed circle with the candies, edges touching, for a disc about 8–9 inches in diameter.
- Bake:
- Bake for 7–9 minutes, watching closely until candies melt and fuse but do not brown.
- Cool Slightly:
- Let the melted disc cool for 1 minute, just until pliable.
- Shape Bowl:
- Invert a heatproof bowl upside down and quickly drape the candy disc over it, gently pressing to shape the bowl.
- Set:
- Hold in place for a few seconds until it starts to set, then let cool completely for about 20 minutes.
- Finish:
- Remove candy bowl from mold and peel off parchment. Fill with holiday treats.
Save to Pinterest My family loved using these peppermint bowls as holders for homemade cookies at holiday gatherings. The kids especially enjoyed breaking the bowl to share sweet pieces with everyone once it was empty.
